    Hope you gals had a good time last night. Quite exciting to watch an international match, especially it is a match between girls your age. Now you know that if you train hard enough, you can be as good as anyone.

    I know some of you bet with coach and had lost! You owe her some form punishment! And also Shaowen, you are late! You owe every of us who waited in the humid weather for you. You owe us 1 round each, a total of 27 rounds!! You can choose to pay in installments over 3 days or 1 month. But of cos i wouldn't mind if you want to pay in one shot! :)

    Another thing one this month is fasting month. I know it is tough but gals hang on! think of this as a good time to train your perservance!! Training will not be too strenuous. Gambette!! p(*_*)q and also we receive an invitation for United World College for a friendly but it is during your fasting month. We are still deciding if you gals are ok with it. Pls let me or Mr Lim know if you are not comfortable playing friendly.

    Well done girls!! We have just won our first game against Henderson. However, we shall not be complacent. You have seen how Greenview and Queensway played. They are fast and stronger. We must be faster and stronger than them. We must be well prepared for our next game.

    Once again, congratulations to B girls! We won again 5-0 against Telok Kurua yesterday. Well done girls! As I have mentioned before, we cannot afford to be complacent. These matches are too easy for you. The tougher ones are coming. Mr Lim says that the draw for 2nd round will be held in Term 2, so take this time to rest well and recover from whatever injuries you have.

    And as for the holiday training next week, there are some changes after your feedback. Please take note of the changes.

    Changes to March Holiday training:
    15 Mar, Monday 8am - 10am C girls only(sec 1s and 2s)
    17 Mar, Wednesday 7.30am - 9am C girls only (friendly match against Henderson Sec)

    Congrats to the B girls! We won 11-0! From Mr Lim: Chris had 9 goals, Haslina had 1 and 1 own goal. Well done girls! Now we are officially qualified for second round! There is one more match on Wednesday.. COntinue to do your best! We cannot be complacent, we need to win the next match so that when we play in second round it will be easier for us.

    A week rest & Seniors' game on friday..

    ok... the long awaited rest for the juniors is here. Take this opportunity to rest well and recover from whatever injuries and pain that you have. Because there will be no more resting when CNY is over or when seniors emerge the champions! You need to work hard to improve your stamina and skills to outshine others.

    As for the seniors, your first match is this Friday against Telok Kurau Fuchun. Juniors will be there to watch your match. Do not underestimate Telok Kurau ok? Whatever it is, just play your very best. Then you will enjoy the sports regardless the results. Of course, winning is also important. But only when you enjoy the game then you can performance well. When I say enjoy doesn't mean you laugh and make fun of each other on the field. What I mean is to relax your mind and FOCUS! Recover from mistake fast and be aggressive! (aggressive not equal to violent!!)

    Well done girls!! Keep up the good work! One observation: during fitness, you are fast! But I am not sure why, when you are in a game situation, your speed slow down. You gota react faster, be more confident and louder on the field!

    Well done girls!! You have done well! :) This match is more for the B girls. Thank you for the C girls for their support esp to those who didn't get to play.

    Below is my 2-cents worth as I observed the match yesterday.

    Chris- Mr Lim's 'secret weapon'.

    Sharleen- Great improvement in your stamina!! Keep it up.. but need to trust your teammates more... don't have to run so much...
    Shaowen & Rahima- Great teamwork and excellent defence... must sure u play like that throughout the season!
    Earny- open goal Earny!!! Its a fight between you n the keeper!! Just need to beat her... next time just imagine the keeper is a miget, then kick the ball into the giant goalpost!
    Shafina- positioning is good but need to work harder on your speed...
    Nikki- best play so far... good header... but pls don't wear that hairband!! jus use hairclips or rubber bands.
    Haslina- a good run.. jus be careful on your overstretched abductors(goin muscle).
    Thahira- fight for the ball more!! Just treat the ball as your bf! If someone wants your bf, what do you do??? FIGHT!! :)
    Farah- Excellent defence and great stamina but... like sharleen, trust your teammates bit more k?
    Junese- Spin the song in your head and relax! Then focus on the game! Now your have run better and faster but you are not mentally prepared. Work on that ok?
    Goal keepers- not too bad for the 1st try... work harder on your goal kicks ok? we need that...

    Overall, still a good start.. like coach says we are slow starters.. we need a few games to get settle down. So treat this as a warm up.. DO NOT get complacent just because you won this game, there are tougher games ahead of you. Please be mentally prepared for it ok?

    Next training for C girls and sec 1s - Friday@sunsports.

    Meet at 2.45pm at the canteen. We will take a bus there and I will dismiss you from there.

    Personally, I think most of you have improved your stamina. But in order to perform better during game time, we need to work harder than this. And the attendance needs to get better too. Let's us work together as a team and encourage those who didn't want to turn up to come for training.

    Girls, attendance is not good yesterday. I know that some of you know that it is fitness training and therefore, you wouldn't want to attend. This is not a correct attitude! Coming to training should be something that you should be looking towards to.. a time to build up your skills, a time to hang out with your teammates and have fun together. I know sometimes it is tough and difficult but you must train up your determination and mentality! I appreciate those who turn up regularly but those are always absent(you know who you are), you ought to feel ashamed of yourself!


    Sad to say it rained during your warm-up and so we went to the gym. Training is less intense this week when we are supposed to step up the intensity. So next week we need to work harder..

    Training log on 13/01/10:

    - 15 minutes on treadmill (speed 8.8)/bicycle(resistant 4)
    - 5 minutes stretching
    - 15 mintues on treadmill (speed 8.8)/bicycle(resistant 6)
    - 5 minutes stretching

    To those who came to for the CCA Carnival:

    A Big Thank you for those who came to the CCA carnival today especially to Chris, Sharleen, Shaowen, Ann, Farhanah, Humaira', Earny, Nadira, Irfasha, Weixuan, Caeley and Junese(sorry if i miss out your name). Hope u gals have enjoyed the Milo that Mr Loo has specially arranged for us... :) Well, we managed a total of 17 names after taking away those 'animal names'. Not too bad for a start :) Mr Lim has taken some photos during the carnival. I will post those pics up once i get hold of them.

    A few conclusions from this CCA Carnival:

    Sharleen: Makes a good sales executive!!
    Chris: a good 'model' sitting at the small goalpost!
    Ann: a predator, sits at a corner and wait for for the right prey!
    Humaira': dun be a salesperson... no one will buy from you if u says things like : eh.. JOIN SOCCER!!
    Earny: Hardworking and never give up when it comes to convincing people
    Nadira and Irfasha: quiet and yet manage to give out all the pamphlets
    Weixuan and Caeley: very fierce!!


    The sec 1s will come for 2nd trial on Monday. So let's continue to put on your best behavior and skills to impress them! Monday training is at 3.30pm, as usual do not be late!! Make sure you are ready before the coach is here and that includes taking out the ball and putting on your gears(I don't have to remind you gals again and again right? Show the newbies that we are a disciplined team who won the Champs last year!).

    Next, I am going to learn how to revamp this blog from the blog master, Miss Ang Weixuan so that both B and C gals can share this blog space and I can update training log, events and training schedule. I will change the blog title and link once I master certain level of competency. Will post the changes when I acquire the skill to do so, so keep a lookout!!

    CCA Carnival!!!

    Hey girls,

    CCA Carnival for the current sec 1s will be held this sat 9 Jan from 8am to 12.30pm. I need the following girls to help out during the event.

    6. Farah

    The above mentioned names, please report to school by 7.30am so that we can start setting up the area and be ready on time. I assume that everyone has been through a sec 1 CCA carnival before and you know that there is going to be big groups of sec 1 students walking aound. So what is our job on sat? Well, try to get to as many students as possible and ask them to join soccer! And you got to make it sound that joining soccer team is a privilege. Tell them that we got the championship for B girls last year and our C girls is in top 4! Tell them that we are one of the only 2 teams that are went overseas for Learning Journey last year... :) and this year, we will be going again... For the rest of the team, if you will like to help out, I will welcome you. The more the merrier... :)

    As for tomorrow, I need the whole team to help to cut the pamphlets that Sharleen, Chris and Junese has done after training. I will end training earlier so that you will have time to cut the pamphlets.

    And also, the sec 1s will be coming down for their 2nd trial tmr during your training. Make sure you put on your best behavior(so that I will not scold you infront of them) and skills for showcasing... :) and talk to them ok?? make them feel welcome... dun chase them away ah!!!

    Hi girls,

    I decided that I will try to update training events and training log for you since no one is doing it. Please visit the bolg for future training schedules and events. I shall start for today.

    Fitness training log:

    1) 2.4km run 20 mins

    2) Circuit training
    - Steps x 20 each leg

    - sit-up/crunches 1 min(min 30 times)

    we did 2 sets of the circuit training today.

    3) 10 min game with netball C girls. ( I think you gals have done pretty well considering you are not netballers.. keep up the good work!! I have spoken to Ms Tan and she agreed to have soccer game with us but will be after the netball zonal games.. so you will have the chance to show your power!!)

    Next training will be this friday at 3.30pm. Coach will be here. Please also take note that there will be a CCA carnival this sat from 7.30am to 12.30pm. I am not sure if I will include everyone which is highly possible. So be prepare to come on sat.

    Had match with AMK sec yesterday yeah. 0-0. DRAW! Okay, we have 7 points now. Next match against tampines sec. Must play well! Mr Lim says that we have to win two more matches in order to get in the finals. JIAYOU team! And Junese captain, you have to update too!
    Just hope that our team would be free of quarrels. So everybody must learn to respect each other ok? So yeah, work hard for monday's match!
